FSU is a 2 point home dog for the opener against the Hokies.

What are your most optimistic, pessimistic, and realistic expectations for FSU next year? Not counting Bowl game win or loss.

Optimistic: 10-2 and a New Years Bowl

Pessimistic: 7-5 and a decent bowl (better than this year)

Realistic: 8-4 and a decent bowl.

So my worst case has us 1 game better in the regular this year and best case 4 games better.

I honestly think we walk away winning 2 more than last year...that’s absolutely doable considering we should have a more experienced QB and better run game....and no Alabama on the schedule.

Optimistic:
12-0 regular season, then after ACC championship, playoff game and National Championship we will be 15-0 and celebrating in Santa Clara, California on January 7, 2019.

Pessimistic:
5-7, our coach is fired mid-season and our bowl streak ends

Realistic:
10-2 with losses coming at Louisville and Notre Dame, New Years Bowl

Optimistic:
0-12

Pessimistic:
12-0

Realistic:
24-14

By the way, what does optimistic, pessimistic and realistic mean?

I think we get VT on Labor Day and I promise FSU will be a fave by kickoff....you want to jump on that line now

Miami and Notre Dame on the road will be tough...Clemson.....seem to never play well in Raleigh.....BC is going to be a tough out this year....think we get 2 of the 5 above...9-3 and a decent bowl game

I would be quite pleased with 9-3 regular season given the schedule. 10-2 and I would be elated.

8-4 wouldn't worry me. 7-5 would cause me some skepticism of the new regime, but no panic. 6-6 with Bama off the schedule...at that point I'd be pretty worried what we've gotten ourselves into.

I expect 8-4, with a little more chance of 9 wins than 7.

9-10 wins is right about where I expect us- if we win more than that, I will be pleasantly surprised and happy. If we win 8 games I will be disappointed and thinking year 2 will be huge. If we win 7 or less I legitimately think we could be headed the way of Tennessee...

Ok. Here's the schedule. Potential losses I see are VTech, @Miami, Clemson, @ND. I think Louisville will take a step back without Jackson at QB.

I think that VT will be in shock that our offense doesn't take 45 seconds to call a play and our QB isn't running a 7 step drop on 3rd and 4.

Just like every off season, we goin all the way baby!

Realistically, id put the over/under at 2.5 losses.

I might want to change my answer:

"Florida State quarterback Deondre Francois is reportedly being investigated for domestic violence.

The Tallahassee Democrat reported the news Wednesday morning, saying the investigation stems from an incident that is said to have occurred “early Wednesday morning.” Police reportedly responded to an incident at an apartment complex around 12:35 a.m. Wednesday morning.

No arrests have been made"

[completely in jest] I really hope J.J. Cosentino was there and takes full blame.
