Anyone been to this? Looks like a slum. I am sure the crappy weather is accentuating that dismal look, but I’m not seeing anything that is LR-worthy.

I have never been there but I know it borders a sketchy part of Baltimore. The track needs either hundreds of millions of dollars in renovations or a complete rebuild. And being that it’s in a location where people don’t want to go on a regular basis, the owner is far more interested in moving the Preakness to his other track than renovating Pimlico. I went the years ago when American Pharaoh won. It is a relatively crappy facility, but I think part of that is the 140+ years of history. The same way that Fenway and Wrigley are crapholes compared to newer parks.

It's definitely in/near a part of Baltimore where the high rollers aren't going except for this one day per year.
