Pretty interesting “new” UFO video shot by F-18 pilots back in 2004

I think there is a small set of UFO enthusiasts who believe UFOs are from unknown advanced lifeforms in the ocean depths, not other worlds.

Is it weird how little relative attention this has garnered?

The topic is seen to carry a risk of ridicule.

I think it is huge that the NYT is running it. NPR had a serious interview with the man who headed the program for a time. He stated the he didn't know where some of these things are from but he didn't think they were from here.

Wow.

The Independent quotes Sen. Harry Reid as saying the US has scientific evidence on UFOs now because of the program.

I think it's interesting that if you search UFO in Google today, you find at least three news reports from main stream outlets.

They're already here!

Discovering another alien life form would either be one of the greatest events in all of human history or the worst. I really, really want it to happen sometime, but we just better hope they're better people than we are.

If they are advanced enough to send a spaceship here to check us out, they probably don't want to have anything to do with us (unless, of course, they need our resources).

The good news is that we're doing a good job of destroying all of our resources, so maybe there won't be anything left for them to take.

Official discovery, especially discovery of intelligent life forms, would shake the foundation of many people's beliefs. So depending on where your belief system is, it could be both at the same time.

I've been on this site since 1997. Guys here will discuss EVERYTHING under the sun except for the UFO subject. I've tried to bring it up over and over and over. Basically last night the former head of the Pentagon program Luis Elizondo announces on CNN WE ARE NOT ALONE, ALIENS ARE VISITING EARTH and nobody pays attention. This is not some guy who's heard it about or spoke to someone off record ect ect. The man was the direct head of the spy program and he has hours of radar footage of these craft that make our jets look like they are standing still. They always go back out in space when they leave.

Supposedly its several species of aliens in our galaxy. I loved his answer about who's flying these craft. He basically says he doesn't know which species is flying these craft but he knows 1 thing. Who ever is flying them, they aren't from this earth and it's not a super advanced drone in our military or any other military on this planet.

I've been researching UFO's for years. Good to see some MSM finally acknowledging some of this stuff. We'll see how far they'll take this.

Wondering the same thing. This is pretty shocking this information is released now. They are basically saying we aren't alone. Makes you wonder if they will go with full disclosure about what's really going on.

Regardless, I'd love to interview with Erin Burnett.

But also... if the earth is flat, wouldn't that stand to reason that "aliens" are just created by the stage director as well?

This story broke on the weekend, Sunday I believe.

When I read it, I thought to myself that this would be the way. Make it front page, but release it on a Sunday in the middle of football season and the holidays so that the majority of people are consumed with other stuff. Let it soak in slowly across the public and keep dropping bits to reduce the blunt force.

It would be terrifying/amazing if disclosure happens in my lifetime.

I think that's one of the reasons people won't publicly discuss it. 1. Embarrassment 2 If this is true what does this mean for "my belief" system.

This and other similar stories made public by the DoD in the past, is what is called "soft disclosure". Undoubtedly they are letting this out for a calculated reason, but how far it goes remains to be seen. Could be that tr3b plane thats been rumored for a decade.

From what I've read and heard from people familiar with defense contracting, the technology the public sees is always several years behind what we have covertly.

I wonder if this has anything to do with that interstellar asteroid that recently passed.

Could be that tr3b plane thats been rumored for a decade.

Perhaps, but when you look at the quotes from that Pentagon official the maneuvers witnessed would be too much for the human body to withstand.

Who knows though.

I bet that much of the next level of tech being R&D'd doesnt use manned vehicles. Look at the DoD/NASA space plane thats has been up in orbit for yrs at a time, and stealth combat uav being used currently. The tr3b or others of its ilk probably operate at such a level higher than our human physical limitations would allow. Hell, the stealth program was started in the 70s, so that goes to show you how far we could theoretically be operating now.

Does anyone buy any of the scuttlebutt that the U.S. has been running a "secret space program" for decades now and that there are bases on the moon and Mars?

You mean all humanity, or just parts of it?

Because sane people don't watch CNN....

Nope. And I would put money on <sorry edit Musk> doing it first if he and NASA decided to race.

It is true I did a black ops mission to Mars about a decade ago. While everyone was focused on Iraq we were running secret black ops into Mars on a daily basis. My best friend was actually the door gunner on the space shuttle for a bunch of those missions. Oh and in case you were wondering we kick the crap out of those Martians.

Humans as a whole.........every time throughout history when a more advanced civilization has encountered a less advanced civilization, the less advanced one suffered horrible atrocities.
That was kind of my point. We should be more worried about them than they are about us.
