Proposed new stadium for the Rays

Looks great. They'll have to make ingress/egress easier off I-4 & 275 then what it is now but it's a good location!

That's a big crowd for a Rays game.

$892M seems crazy. The Marlins Park they just finished was like $550M. If they get this done they’ll draw pretty well. The north and east Tampa suburbs are booming and this will be 20-30min from them as opposed to an hour to Tropicana Field.

Maybe it’s the real gold standard. :)

An hour if you are lucky.

And you know this thing will be approaching $1 Billion if built.

No way the city and the voters will approve this either, right?

From what I understand it won’t be a raise in taxes for residents but would more likely be a raise in bed tax at hotels and some other creative ways. The Rays will have to kick in a pretty sizable amount I would think. I’m sure at least $300M. They seem committed to making it work here in Tampa. I follow the team closely so fingers crossed they can figure this out.
