It should be compelling TV...

Episode 1: How a team could have picks #1 and #4 and still not pick the best player in the draft...or the best QB...

Episode 2: How a team could have 9 first round draft picks from 2011 to 2016 and not have a single one of them still on their roster.

Episode 3: How a head coach could go 1-31 over two seasons and not get fired.

Sounds like a show that belongs on National Geographic ... or at least the subject of a Vice investigative documentary.

Do love me some Hard Knocks though. Too bad no Noles on this season, though I wouldn't wish any of our guys to the Browns.

Any former Noles on the team that might be featured?

I don't think so, but Browns Rookie Antonio Calloway was just arrested for pot possession and driving on a suspended license. This is AFTER he tested positive for pot at the combine and his numerous incidents at UF.

The Browns just traded Corey Coleman and claim it's not to make room for Dez Bryant. Josh Gordon's suspended, as well...Guess Cleveland's not very concerned about receiver depth.

I think the show has jumped the shark. I'm a Texans fan and I found that series boring and mostly a JJ Watt commercial.

Some seasons are definitely more entertaining than others.
The Houston season was def a snoozer.

I enjoyed last year with the Bucs. But I'm also a Bucs fan and living in California i dont fet a lot of extra coverage on the team. Last year was also the first time I had watched the show.

Im in Cleveland now and can see why the team has sucked for decades. The only city Ive seen with worse road conditions is Philly. Every road looks like asphalt swiss cheese and feels like the tires are going to rattle off on every bump. This is even on the interstates and toll roads, you think if you have to pay, theyd be better. But like the Browns, it's like they dont give a... We'll fix it next year.

Hue Jackson tries to hard to be liked by the players and his speech about "this chair is different than your chair" to the assistant coaches showed how much of a disaster that staff will be this year. No way Haley and Gregg Williams are listening to a one win coach.

This was my takeaway. Haley has historically been a "good" OC while Gregg Williams... well, take away the whole bounty thing and he's a good DC. Hue Jackson seemed to me to be best suited for being the hot OC name but not quite HC material. Maybe we'll see otherwise this season, but woof, seeing those first few practices was something rough.

Their staff is full of a bunch of guys who are "not HC material" but now that there's some football talent in town, maybe Hue will prove that he is.
7 wins would be a exceptionally successful season for them considering what they did last year, and the year before, and the year before, and the year before, and the year before, ...

The aerial shot of their facility, right in the middle of probably the only well-off neighborhood in Cleveland (oh wait, it's in Berea isn't it), caught me slightly off guard. Then I realized the Cowboys' facility is in the middle of a very well off area full of multi-million dollar homes.

couldn't agree more. seem like he was one of those "try a little too hard" guys. I cringed when he talked, nothing he did seemed "natural"

When your offensive line can't pass protect, and your QB sucks, receivers don't matter much.

Anyone else watch last night?

Corey Coleman definitely half-arsed his way out of town. Callaway looks good, but he's a knucklehead.

So far I think this season of Hard Knocks has been pretty good.
