The radiator fan is not turning off when I turn off the car. I presume that the fan relay is stuck. Good assumption? Easy fix?

Not uncommon for an electric fan to continue to run when the engine is not.

Is the car actually running hot? Does it have a water temp gauge, or just an idiot light to let you know its cooked?

If it is staying on for no reason I'd start with the relay.

It was running all night. (should have been clearer). Came home, turned off car, fan was still running and didn't think anything of it. About 1:00 a.m. had to let one my older dogs out to pee and it was still on. disconnected the battery.

Sounds like maybe a relay or temp switch is stuck closed and won't turn off the fans.

Gary, think the best course is to replace the relay (which I assume is in the fuse panel) and if the fan still doesn't turn off try to find the temp switch, which I suspect is down by the radiator. I need to look at the diagram because the car has dual fans.

Give the hood of the car a good slap. Should set it back in place correctly.
