Just got the alert. Titans get Ram's 1st round picks in 2016 and 2017 and two 2016 2nd round picks.

Edit: Meant to tie this back to FSU and specifically Jalen Ramsey's draft stock.

lol...and this sis why the Rams will continue to suck and Fischer will be out of a job soon.

I guess they want a shiny new QB for their new location. The Titans end up with 6 picks in the top 76. Nicely done, Tenn.

That's a deal that the Titans just couldn't pass up, but now they don't get Tunsil or Ramsey. So where does Ramsey fall to now? The Cowboys?

I don't think the Rams are done trading yet. Why would they trade the farm for Wentz or Goff?

Maybe because they want a new, shiny QB toy for their move west. Why else would they trade to #1 from #15? I doubt it was to pick a DB or OT. None of these DEs are worth that.

Didn't the Rams see how this worked out for the Redskins a few years ago?

Heaven forbid we discuss this on the board where it will be seen and discussed more. Good lord.

Yeah I felt like it was ok to post on the TC since it involved a team thought to be drafting Jalen. We could have started a discussion about his draft stock. Though I probably should have posed a question about that in the OP. My bad guys.

Seems like a pretty obvious link to FSU football. Meanwhile there's a thread about 2 UGA players on the regular page.

This is the perfect place to discuss this. We have little to talk about until June. It also affects Ramsey's draft slot.

I guess but I've noticed there's a lot less traffic here. I'm glad there's an alert function or I'd never look at it again. How many people will never see it because it's over here? I don't know but whatever. As a cowboys fan, I think this means that either Bosa or Ramsey will be there at #4. I'll take that.

Bosa was always there at #4.

Interesting now for San Diego. Before it was whoever was left b/w Ramsey and Tunsil, now it looks like both will be there.

If Ramsey's there at #4, I think the Boys take him.

I wouldn't be surprised if The Titans moved up a bit using say the Rams' #1 and #2 to move back up around 8-10 to get ND OT Ronnie Stanley to be their LT. I think there's a big difference b/w Stanley and Conklin, Decker or any of the other mentioned 1st rd OT consistently mocked guys.

I think that is possible, but it is also possible they are ok with Lewan remaining as LT and will draft a RT in the 2nd or 3rd round. This will only be Lewan's 3rd year, and he has plenty of ability and isnt a bad player. He just needs to be more consistent, and consistency can certainly develop over time. So they might not see LT as a big need at this point and they can really justify going in several different directions with their first pick.

That's absolutely one of the worst trades I've ever seen. If I was a Titan's fan, I'd be laughing all the way to the bank. There isn't anyone in this year's draft worth giving up that type of value for.

I am a TItans fan, and I certainly love the trade. But, I also don't know that it is a bad trade for the Rams, it really depends on how it works out. The Rams have some talent with the running game and on the defensive side of the ball, but they werent going anywhere without a decent QB. If they hit on Goff or Wentz, then years from now people will look at it as a great trade. In reality, Draft trades are not good or bad, it is what you do with the picks that make the trade good or bad.

Good point Cubs. Titans certainly got a good deal, it's up to them to cash in. It could be a great trade for the Rams, nothing more valuable than a franchise QB. I personally don't see these guys being elite but I also haven't watched a ton of them in real serious action.

I dont know much about them either, especially Wentz, but I think teams like them more than the media and fans have given them credit for. Supposedly the Titans had multiple offers, which if true, means that more than just the Rams were willing to give up picks to get to that spot. If multiple teams are trying to move up to get one of them, knowing it would take a lot, then it would indicate that scouts like them quite a bit.

Part of it is that Cal and NDSU just don't get a ton of publicity. Winston, Mariota, Luck, RG3, etc., these guys were in the news for many months before the combine...

Goff has some really nice diversity of throws. Gets a bit too much spine arch in some but really smooth arm action.

I really wish I could talk to the Bucs GM and ask him what the best trade was that they turned down for Jamesis... I mean if some team gave up this for Goff or Wentz, what must have been the price for Winston??

It is tough to say. It isn't always about the player, it is also about team needs. The Rams desperately need a QB. They could have very possibly been playoff team over the last several years if they had any kind of decent QB play, and I think that rings true this upcoming year as well. I don't think there were as many teams in that position last year, especially not in positions to give up that much for the top pick..

I don't know. Bradford signed a 2 year deal and I think I remember reading that the eagles could get out of it in year 2 and not get killed on the cap. Or they could keep him as a backup.
