Was just looking at our schedule again and it's brutal, with very few gimmes (just show up and win by double digits). Here's how I would rank them from top to bottom.
1. BAMA: Not much more to say there.
2. Clemson: They are probably better on defense this year and we will be in a dog fight.
3. Gates: We play them at BHG, rivalry game and they should have some semblance of an offense this year.
4. Louisville: Petrino has been working on the game plan since start of the fall camp.
5. Miami: I fully expect we handle them, but they have given us all we can handle 5 out of the 7.
6. Syracuse: They return 17 starters and that offense can score and score some more. I think they win 7 games this year, if not 8.
7. NCST: Top 10 defense (?). They too return a full squad, experience QB. If this game was in Carter-Finley, I would've ranked them behind Clemson.
8. B.C.: Always play us tough at their place. Friday night game on the road. We win this game but it will be uncomfortable at times.
9. Duke: Not enough fire power. Cutliff is a hell of a coach and Duke actually has done well, by their standards, with bringing in better skill position players.
10. Wake: That offense too will give us fits. He has done a good job keeping them respectable. They simply don't have enough players to stay in this. I know they get beaten like a dog on here but Wake won 7 games last year. Pretty good for them.
11. UL-Monroe: Starters should be resting early 3rd quarter.
BYE
12. Del State: What are we even playing this game!!! Kind of game where we lose a crucial starter in and have no business playing them. They aren't even a good D2 school.
I would gladly take 11-1 and a trip to the ACC CG game. I think if we get by BAMA, we will drop one, possible 2. If the OL improves the way some think they will and the defense corrects letting opposing QB's shoot up the Heisman ranking, then a 11-1 with our schedule is doable.
