I was trying to take something positive away from our game. Another poster pointed out Jimbo's snazzy reading glasses. It got me thinking, I have had a little more trouble reading close up lately. My eye doctor said I would probably have the issue soon when I went for an exam early this year. I'll check with him in my exam next year, but from a quick search, you can get reading glasses without a prescription. Does anyone have any recommendations on a cheap pair for me to try out? Do they come in different powers? If so, how do I determine the power without the optometrist? Can I just go into a store and try different ones to see what works? If so, what stores?

Or go to Costco and get the 3 pack. Always get the lowest power you can get away with.
All readers do is alter the focal length of your eyeballs.
For driving you most likely will need a lower power than for reading as the instruments are farther away than the book or newspaper reading distance.
They start at 1.00 and go up in increments of .25.
The Dollar store is another good place to get them. You don't need high dollar lenses.

Are you referring to the garnet colored frames he wears? If so, does anyone know where those can be found? I’d like to get them.

Don't pay decent money for readers. Buy the three pack. One for office, car and bathroom.
