At 49, I think I have finally arrived at the age where I need readers. At what age, if you use them, did you need to start wearing reading glasses?

Never needed readers but I needed distance and astigmatism correcting glasses around 28...

About 50-51. I need to get the flashlight out on my phone at many restaurants since I don't travel with them. I can still work on a desktop without them, but occasionally need them on a laptop. Reading a book I almost always need them.

In my twenties, a doctor told me I wouldn't need glasses until I reached 40 (both of my parents wore glasses from childhood.) The doctor hit it on the nose because I needed reading glasses at exactly age 40. I feel lucky because at age 71, all of my friends need bifocals, but I don't, yet.
