Out visiting family in Portland and looking for some recommendations for restaurants. Nothing too exotic as the family includes two eleven year old boys. We plan on joining the Portland Seminole Club to watch the game on Saturday at THE CHEERFUL BULLPEN AT 1730 AT 1730 SW TAYLOR ST.

Thanks

Veritable Quandry is right downtown and it's excellent. Andina is in the Pearl and maybe the best in town. Andina is tapas and maybe not great for kids. VQ should be fine for kids and very good as well

Olympia Provisions is pretty good as well. Swank and Swine at the Paramount hotel is also really good

We did The Screen Door tonight. It was good, we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Did a factory tour for Leatherman Tools, I'd recommend that to anyone.

We have done Voodoo Doughnuts before and may try Pips based on the recommendation of the boys.

While killing time for a late night flight we hung at Beaches Restaurant in Vancouver, really excellent view of the Columbia River.

Salty's on The Columbia, McNaughton's in Vancouver. McMenamin's (Anderson School and Edgefield), Tad's Chicken and Dumplings, OxTail, The Tin Shed, Tasty and Alder (Tapas), Ringside, Pinestate Biscuits.

Just to name a few. Screen Door is always my first recommendation.

I went to Pok Pok on a marketing trip through Portland....it was amazing. However, you may find Thai too exotic.

lots of great options, some already listed ITT, best breakfast in town is at Tilt in the Pearl. get a bacon and egg biscuit and thank me later.

Nah, best breakfast in town is the Screen Door and Pine State Biscuits.

The biscuits at Screen Door are ridiculous.
