Rick Leonard's lacrosse skills got Jimbo Fisher's attention

At the end of spring practice, a lot of people were talking about Rick Leonard. He and Demarcus Walker earned co-defensive MVP honors for spring practice.

But Jimbo Fisher mentioned that it was Leonard's lacrosse film in high school that brought him to FSU's attention. That was where they could see the athleticism and fluidity of Leonard. He's starting to show that now, along with a motor that few players matched in spring. Here's the story.

As an aside, the idea of a 6-foot-7, 250-pound attacker in lacrosse pads is one of the more terrifying things I've heard of recently. Football pads are armor, sure, but lacrosse gives you space to move around in and get a head of steam. You also get a metal stick that you're whipping around.
