I hate even typing that...Betty is gone just 18 days shy of her 100th birthday.

Death is always sad. But it is actually part of life, and obviously unavoidable. Betty had an incredible run. Sometimes the “celebration of life” stuff sounds cheesy, but I think it applies perfectly for Betty!I hate even typing that...Betty is gone just 18 days shy of her 100th birthday.

She was a legend. My granddaughter graduated from UT in 2011 and went on a Communications tour of major networks in New York. I got an excited call from her saying, “ Nana, I met Betty White. Can you believe it?” Four generations of us were Betty White fans. So sorry she missed 100.I hate even typing that...Betty is gone just 18 days shy of her 100th birthday.

I can tell that you like White quite a bit..... Loved her in the movie Proposal telling the woman to the male stripper, "Slap his ass!" Just hilarious! A true icon and loved by all. Is there anyone left from the Mary Tyler Moore show? McCleod or Ted Baxter and his five sugars in a cup of coffee?I hate even typing that...Betty is gone just 18 days shy of her 100th birthday.

Who played Ted Baxter's space cadet girlfriend? Now that was acting or was it?My favorite character of hers was Sue Ellen Nivens and she OWNED that role. David Brooks, one of the show's creators, said Betty needed zero direction - she made Sue Ellen. The scenes between she and Cloris Leachman and Ed Asner were just all time great.
I will always think of her when I eat a Snickers bar.She was one of a kind. And one reason was she she was so kind. And never took anything too seriously. Woman had life figured out
It may have been natural because I saw her on another show playing a similar character.Who played Ted Baxter's space cadet girlfriend? Now that was acting or was it?
