OK, not the most proud thing to admit to, but I got em. I guess they're the german, from tiny baby to around 1/2" ... and they're multiplying like crazy. Trying to control factors... cat food left out, trash... but it's not going away.

Question: exterminator or stuff from Homedepot?

Is the bug man's stuff that much better? I've been spraying and laying traps and poison pills and not much results. What say ye? Thx

If they are Germans they will have to black stripes on their pronotum. They do not have wings and will live by a water source. So this usually limits the locations to kitchen and bathroom. You can apply delta dust to voids under the sinks, base board and pipe holes in the walls. You can also buy a highly productive roach gel bait called max force. Please a dab in the tracks of your kitchen and bathroom drawers, under the counters in cracks and crevices etc. if you have an infestation you will find gooey cocoon like eggs sacks in these areas. Those are the babies. Also start regular spraying Suspend ( liquid delta methorine) with a pump pack from lowes. You can do this full treatment and buy the pump pack for under a 100, or pay for a German infestation job around 250-400 bucks iat least in Tallahassee. Repeat all these steps two weeks later. One last thing, if you want to take its step further, buy a disposable fresh air mask and a can of CB8O. This is a organic knockdown spray for biting and stinging pests, but serves as a flushing agent for roaches. Have a shop vac on and ready lol. That's everything a pro will bring to the job. The brands may vary, but it's all the same results.

It's possible to do it yourself. Get some MaxForce or Advion roach bait. They're tubes of insecticide.

Check appliances as well. Plus motor pump thingy in your fridge. You'll def have to pull it out.

You'll be baiting from top to bottom. You'll need no bigger than a pea size blob. Probably 4 active baits per cabinet front and back.

Pull out drawers and check runners for harborage. Their frass looks like pepper. Bait if you see them.

Don't spray anything. It'll make it worse.

Pony up, call a pro and let them handle it. Not worth it to do it yourself, you're likely just wasting time spinning your wheels.

Rental house had renters there for 2 years and they just moved out in July. Had the pros come and do a full house treatment before new tenants took over. It was night and day, the stuff they use is much better than the "pro" stuff from Home Depot.

You could do it yourself, but it is d*mn hard. I had tenants and when the place was moved out, they were infested. I didn't realize how bad they were until tenants moved out, and I think the roaches were the reason for the move out. Tenant was responsible for pest control.

Do it yourself pest control" can tell you how. I hired a professional, took two treatments because you need to kill the babies once they hatch.
