Roscoe P. Coltrane R.I.P.

If I remember the "famous PHIs" section of my Phikeia manual, he was a Phi Delta Theta.

I may be confused, I couldn't confirm that on the internets, I'll have to look when I get home, I think I still have that manual.

I loved the Dukes as a little kid, was by far and away my favorite show, watched it every Friday night with my Dad.

After college I dated Cooter's daughter. We went to DukesFest in Bristol Tennessee. I was able to meet the whole cast, including Roscoe, and had dinner with them as well...more like a banquet really. It was pretty sweet.

Actually, I was engaged to his daughter for about a month. We were engaged when we went to DukesFest. We had backstage passes that were plastic lanyards. Cooter autographed if for me before we left that weekend. He wrote, "To My Son, Love Cooter!" lol

Pretty awesome, I'm pretty sure there aren't to many of those floating around.

That's awesome!

The Dukes were definitely a huge part of my childhood.

Nice!

He lived up here in Hickory in a house out on the lake. My little brother lived in the same neighborhood for a year while they were renovating another home. Loved that show growing up.

Why did the engagement end? Cooter catch you messing around in some other boars nest?

Something like that...ended up falling for a girl I worked with. It never worked out. It was all for the better. Was way to young to be getting married at that time.
