All,

We’ve relocated and I’ve had to reduce a few pieces of art...and sports memorabilia. I have a signed Leroy Neiman Serigraph (219/300) of the NU-Oklahoma Game of the Century dating back to 1974...although the game was played in 1971. I posted on the Husker’s Rival site a little earlier today, but is there a better way to liquidate this collectible? Should I take it to an art consignment store? I’m really not keen on Craig’s List or EBay. It’s a really nice piece, matted, framed....but it’s not making it up on the wall here....thoughts?

Here’s a link to the piece....the value listed...I’m dubious-

$5,000? Dubious isn’t the word that I’d use. But seriously, good luck.

Art Brokerage...a website that allows one to post art valued it at $800-$1000...since Neiman passed, signed pieces have gone up in value. I’m thinking consignment.

I collect screen printed art and use ExpressoBeans.com for information and buying/selling.

They have some Neiman pieces in the database but I don't see the one you listed. Don't see any for sale either but if you want it listed without joining just let me know I'll list it.

Ebay might be your best bet for top dollar if nobody on the huskers boards bite. Search the sold listings to see what signed pieces go for. Paypal guarantees your money and I've never had problems selling items including art, but I've never sold a framed piece.

Thank you....shipping seems like a concern, but I’ll definitely check it out. I’ll check out EBay, too. I appreciate the offer....I’ll hit you up if I go the expresso route...
