The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Association announced its academic awards for the 2024 cross country season on Monday.
The men’s team turned in a grade point average of 3.59, earning All-Academic team honors and seven Seminoles were named All-Academic athletes. The women’s team tallied three members while being named an All-Academic team with a GPA of 3.62.

To qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top 96 in any championship, or in the top 48 in any championship relay event during the indoor season. Student-athletes can also qualify for the award for participating in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Championship (Preliminaries or final championship competition).
Joe Farley led the Noles after placing 25th at the ACC Cross Country Championship with a time of 23:06.9. Farley concluded his season claiming All-Region honors, placing 11th with a time of 30.16.7.
Schipperen led the women, earning her first all-conference nod at the ACC Championship after placing 16th with a time of 20:02.5. Schipperen claimed all-region honors at the NCAA South Region Championship, crossing the finish line in 5th with a time of 20:03.8. The Dussen, Netherlands, native wrapped up her season at the National Championship finishing in 57th at 20:16.9.
