any baseball fans following this guy? He was called the Japanese Babe Ruth for his pitching and hitting abilities and holy crap has he delivered thus far for the Angels. He had a perfect game into the 6th yesterday and is absolutely raking at the plate. I realize short sample size and all but this will be really interesting to see if he can keep it up even to a smaller degree. The Rays have a minor leaguer named Brendan McKay who’s also attempting to play both the field and pitch but he’s a long ways from doing it in the big leagues.

I drafted him in my Dynasty Fantasy Baseball league...............unless he gets hurt the dude will be in the HoF. I also drafted Adam Haseley who wants to play both ways, but I don't think the Phillies will let him.

They played this "Shonei The Way" song on Golic and Wingo this morning...To the tune of Peter Frampton's "Show Me the Way". Would link it, but I don't see it on Youtube or anywhere yet.

I haven't kept up but my dad was excited and telling me about him a few days ago and I had no idea what he was going on about. Looking it up now, holy smokes. Impressive start, even if it isn't sustainable.

McKay played for Louisville last year. I'm pretty sure we beat him in the final series up there when he was on the mound. He did hit a bomb one of those games.

Want to see what Ohtani does when pitchers start elevating pitches. The three HR were in the LHH sweet spot of low and in. Is this dude going to do anything with pitches low and outside? What happens when he plays an actual MLB team (not happening today or tomorrow since he's in Arlington and facing the bottom of our minor league quality rotation.)

Um, they did play the Indians (an actual MLB team) and he did hit a HR off the reigning AL Cy Young winner Corey Kluber.

He’s been pretty impressive. Definitely hit for a pitcher and definitely pitch for a hitter.

Wonder how long until he gets to AA ball? I might get to see him if he's on Montgomery when they come to Pensacola!

He’s in low A ball now so I’d imagine he’ll finish in high A and start next year with the Biscuits in AA as long as hes doing well.

Trout is my favorite player, so I watch a lot of Angels games and Ohtani has been awesome.
Having said that, he is light years away from the HoF or even being projected a that level. I am pulling for him though!
