A few amateur meteorologist I follow are predicting snow for the Southeast, specifically Eastern North Carolina to start the new year. I know we have some weather gurus in the LR. What do you all think?

Yeah, what a couple days ago that looked like a good snowstorm for my area now looks to be suppressed south toward the southern Mid-Atlantic. Give me my snow back dadgummit!

If you want some real informed discussion, check out these weather boards which have a lot of very informed people, including degreed meteorologists. When there is a storm threat, they have great threads with all kinds of model discussion. What's nice is they have regional sub-forums (linked below) so you can read discussions specifically about your region.

Speaking of the Carolinas, this is the current forecast for Charlotte, where the Belk Bowl is on Friday afternoon (Wake v. Texas A&M). With one more ACC win, FSU might have been in this one.

Thursday Night: A chance of snow and sleet. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27.
Friday: A chance of rain, snow, and sleet. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 35.
