I wake up at 4 am dreading the thought of having to deal with them. Truly a nightmare.

Ineptitude can be easily fixed. Corruption on the other hand is much harder to spot and more often than not we find ourselves justifying its existence.

I did run for the city council once. Lost 60/40 to one of those described as inept. The following exchange on election day with a voter sums up my run perfectly.

Voter... Who are you?
Me... I am Jim ...
Voter... No, who ARE you?
Me... I am Jim ... Candidate for seat 3
Voter... No, who's your daddy?
Me... I am not originally from here so you wouldn't know my father
Voter... Oh, you're one of those damn foreigners.

Not a fan but give the Walton County Commission credit for hanging with the Customary Use doctrine for dry sand beach access, its a huge issue that will eventually affect the whole state.
