man what’s easier than some pasta, browned beef and some Newman’s Own sauce? That’s right folks he also makes damn good spagetti sauces

So pasta, meat, good sauce, ceased salad and garlic bread

Yum yum

Followed by some Bluebell natural vanilla bean ice cream and walla!

Big spaghetti fan myself.
Also, Bluebell 'homemade' vanilla is worthwhile. I like to freeze the bowl, then throw in some milk and nestle quik for a homemade chocolate shake.
I'm the straight up, white trash version of Tribe.

Left over spaghetti, on top of garlic bread or stuffed in a soft roll....yummmm!

Not my thing. Lasagna yes, spaghetti no...

Weird timing for this thread. Just made a batch for lunches this week. Gonna be super active, so figured some carbs would be good.

Fresh made pasta. That's what's better.

Couple of cups of flour, eggs and salt. Mix it up knead it and let it rest a few minutes. Roll it with a pasta roller or just roll it out and cut it with a pizza cutter.

Great with just a little butter or olive oil and a bit or freshly grated parmigiana. Better yet just sweat some onion and thrown in some seeded San Marzano tomatoes salt and fresh herbs and cook for a short time then hit it with the stick blender.

If you haven't had it before you will be amazed at how good a simple fresh pasta dish can be. It makes a normal spaghetti dinner tast like it came from a can.... I mean a box or a jar.

As I kid I would hold one end of the spaghetti and swallow it, then pull it back up my throat. Always got my mom mad as hell but my brother and I just laughed and laughed. Might have to try it again soon.

Y'all don't know about this:

Victoria knows how to make some sauce.

Dump that in a sauce pan, put in some refrigerated/ frozen meatballs, let simmer for about 20 minutes. Easy peasy.

That stuff is awesome too. I've found it at Costco before

I used to make spaghetti a lot when the kids were growing up- now I maybe have it 2-3 times a year. Used to assemble and simmer the sauce on very low heat for 3 or 4 hours.
Take kid 1 to baseball practice, take kid 2 to soccer or cheerleading, come home and put dinner on the table.
Now I buy a jar of some imported sauce I found at Home Goods or Tuesday Morning and add a can of paste or puréed tomatoes and small amount of ground beef. Angel hair pasta, Salad and garlic bread. Done.

On a side note..if you love buffalo chicken and you love pasta the buffalo chicken pasta dish you can find through google is the shiznit!

Boil your penne.....take a roasted chicken and shred it down...mix in franks hot sauce, cream cheese, cheddar cheese and some ranch dressing...fold the pasta in and put into a baking dish..cover with some more cheddar and green onions..bake 350 for 30...money.

Nasty. Just use San Marzono tomatoes, garlic, EVOO, kosher salt, small dried chile, sprig of basil from the yard. Simple, easy. And no jars of sauce with tons of preservatives, HFCS, fake flavoring, etc. that have sat on the shelf in Costco for years.

The Victoria sauce has no preservatives, and none of the major brands use HFCS.
