We have to go to a wedding being held at The Treasury in St. Auggie. Never been there before and we will need a suite that has either two rooms and a kitchenette, or one large room with a sleeper sofa. The must-have is the kitchenette.

Looking for something reasonably close because I heard parking down near the venue could be limited, but a short drive is fine with me as well. Just looking for advice on a nice suite-type place to stay in that area.

Much appreciated!

We've stayed at the Hilton before. It's really nice, but I don't think it has a kitchenette.

You might be better off going the VRBO or AirBnB route.

There is a residence inn in Jax - but might be too far away.

Hmmmm, I may have to re-visit the VRBO/Airbnb route. I've looked before, but it was a long time ago. At the time I was targeting beach condos, but the units were on the higher floors and the buildings didn't have elevators.

I suppose I could look for a small 2 bdrm, 2 bath house near the historic district, or a ground floor condo unit this time. We did stay at a Residence Inn in Cocoa before for a night to go on a Disney cruise. That place worked well, and is what spurred the idea to find something similar for our trip down to St. Aug.

Thanks for the ideas!

Any reason why you are not doing a VRBO or Air B&B?

Are you willing to spend a little for a good place? The Casa Monica is really nice.
It's very nice but so is the Hilton. Try a BnB - there are some very nice ones there right on the water.
You'll be glad you spent a little extra on your accommodations- St. Auggie is just a fun getaway.
