What you got? Looking at one of the Varidesk models right now. Is there anything better out there?

I've been looking for a while. For that price ~$200 you can find a used electric adjustable desk if you look around a bit. At least you can out here.

I see some online too that aren't too expensive but I have a big huge Steelcase set up right now and at this point I'm looking for something to go on top of it.

Steelcase Airtouch and love it. In fact, standing at it right now. It could go a little higher, but not enough that it bothers me.

We have a contract with Steelcase but I think it would entail getting a whole new set up and I'm not sure I can pull that off with the boss...

I got the Varidesk about a month ago, and really like it. Easy to get up (that's what she said), and down (that's also what she said), and has a number of positions (insert pun here). I stand about an hour in the am and after lunch. Was about $500 I think. I'm the first one in our office with it, and I'm sure some others will follow suit.

I just got one a few weeks ago and I really like it. It’s similar to the varidesk. It’s made by fancierstudio. It was about $180.

I’m not sure of the other brands, but I’ve been using a varidesk in my office for about a year and a half. I’ve got no complaints.

Seem like the set up with the Varidesk doesn't give you any workspace or any place to put your papers and such. Do y'all have that problem?

They're not small, but I've got plenty of other desk space (my desk area setup is the equivalent of about 3 or 4 desks). There's enough room on the Varidesk to keep a stack or two of paper, but you will definitely lose some space. If space is already an issue in your office, a Varidesk will not help the situation.

The one I got has a good amount of space. The keyboard try is large. I can push the keyboard back and have room in front of it. Plus it has a large mouse area on both the left and right sides. Plus a pretty good area in front of the monitors.

I have a varidesk but it needs a motor and a timer feature, i.e. it's time to stand up lard butt and there's no override

Agree. I have one for my home office. There are different sizes.

What's the purpose, standing verse sitting. Why not just exercise. If your snacking while sitting, then you'll also be snacking while standing. Take the stairs not the elevator. Does the Locker Room all have bad backs, that's alot of sex, congrats. I thought everyone was millionaires here, lol

Hit the bricks, sonny Jim.

Ain’t no one need another LOL-ing, “a lot” misspelling, try hard around here.

Scram.

About half of our employees have them. My wife does and loves it but I am still a fan of sitting. I drink about three cups of coffee each morning so I stretch my legs by getting up for refills.

I work for a Danish company and it’s required in Denmark so they bought one for the twenty of us in the USA. They are varidesks.

I usually stand up about half the day. I love it.

Not me but a friend of mine has got his new standing desk from the reputed store of Office Furniture Solutions after he got to know about the store through his aunt. I must say the desk he got from the store is of top quality and even have the trendy design. I am also thinking to buy one for me too.

My boss broke down and got me a steelcase 70x30 motorized job. Should be installed in my office this Friday...

I have a veridesk knock off (wish I knew the name) that my procurement group got me at work. I love it but I pivot over to it as I have an L shaped work desk. My boss got it and returned it the next day as he has two desks one against the wall and one in front of him that he takes meetings at. Wasn't ideal for him but I love it. I do find the space/ clearance for the keyboards are in adequate so I have to rest it on the top part of the desk but I make do.

Actually you could exercise hard for an hour a day and if you sit for 8 hours a day you have wasted all that exercise. Ideally you should be standing for about half the work day and walking around the office for about 10 minutes every hour or so.

I have a Varidesk. Best purchase I have made in years! Really improves my workflow day, and totally eliminated my stiffness and back pain. I love it, and I can’t say enough about how much I love it. Do eeet.

Lot's of folks have them in our office, but rarely do I see anyone standing at them. I prefer the extra space and the sit down option without it.

I got an adjustable one. Never use it. I am 6’4” and found out I needed to get something for the monitors to stand up on or I have to look down. Never got around to it.

I want one, but the ones I've found are either way too expensive or won't fit the small space my current work from home area has.

One of my co-workers has one with the walking treadmill as well. I don't know if I want to be that healthy, lol.
