As of late, Dwayne Bacon is stringing together the sort of performances which could see Florida State have make a decent run in the NCAA Tournament.

Bacon scored a team-high 25 in the Seminoles' 86-80 win over Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday at the Amway Center in Orlando.

He came into Thursday averaging 19.2 points in his last four games. Those games were all against tournament teams in Duke, Miami, Virginia Tech and Notre Dame. Against FGCU, he provided a calm presence when one was needed and appears ready to be the star scorer FSU needs.
