Just read the following: Any chance it wasn't an explosive devise and the suitcase just had some electonical device in it.

An area near the intersection of Atlantic and Northern avenues was closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic Friday after a suspicious suitcase was left unattended, 5 Investigates said.

Sky5 video: Suspicious object found

A man walked up to a Department of Homeland Security vehicle, put down the suitcase and quickly walked away, 5 Investigates has learned.

Bomb squad X-rayed the suitcase and it showed wires and a power source, 5 Investigates sources said.

It was not immediately clear how much of a threat the object posed or if it was an active device, 5 Investigates sources said.

The suitcase was moved to a median area on Atlantic Avenue by a bomb-handling robot and blown up.

Police responded to a report of the suspicious object near 408 Atlantic Ave. at about 9:50 a.m.

From Sky5, a suitcase could be seen next to a parked SUV. A bomb-handling robot was brought in to remove the suitcase.

The incident forced the closure of Interstate 93 north at Exit 23 and the on ramp from Essex and Lincoln streets to 93 North.

They blew it up and it didn't appear to have any explosive components in it. So probably just some sort of electronic device that got blown to smithereens.

Maybe it was just a clock?

So the man seen leaving a suitcase near a Department of Homeland Security vehicle in Boston and walking away has been arrested and charged with planting a hoax device.

What the heck was his motive? Oh and for the profilers out there he was a white male approximately 40. Religion was not provided.
