Just watched the first episode and it was awesome. Tom Hardy is one of my favorite actors these days. Anyone else catch it? Thoughts?

It got some bad reviews but I watched it anyway and didn't hate it or find it boring. Will check out at least one more episode.

I feel this show would be so much better on premium TV or Netflix.
Everything is better on premium channels. Fx can get a little more leeway than a major network but still super tame compared to HBO.

Did they use the F word at all? I watched the stream from the BBC, and the word was used 4 or 5 times, not sure if FX shows the same version as the BBC. I know the OJ series on FX used the F word, I'm just not sure if the BBC and FX are airing the same edited show (the BBC version is on 4 to 5 days before FX's broadcast ).

Yes they did. I watched it on Xfinity On Demand.

Yes, a few F Bombs were dropped. I didn't know they were allowed to do that but me likey.

I watched the premiere and loved it. I haven't been this excited about a show since GoT, then again, I am a sucker for period dramas. How did this get bad reviews?

They blew through those rules a couple years ago.

F bombs?! Who the heck cares. Let me know when FX starts showing good gratuitous female nudity, and not male asses to qualify for their nudity warning. #alwaysdisappointed

Episode 2 was pretty good, although admittedly a little slow. I know it takes time to build up the character, setting, plot, etc. and I think the show is doing a good job of doing that and giving just enough to keep me engaged.

Questions (spoilers):

What was the significance of the colored stones he found in the hull of the ship, are they african slave prayers beads?

Who sent the assassin?

How did Delaney get so much information about the affairs of both EITC and (presumably) America?
