If a restaurant is relying on 5 or 6 game weekends a year to make it, they won’t.

Alias it closed as did Nicks Restaurant and Gramblings seed and hardware. Nothing to do with football just long time family owned businesses that reached the end.

Yeah it’s gone. The guy that owns it still have other places in town Gordo’s and Bumpa’s so I doubt it was a money thing just time for a change I’m sure who knows.

I’ve gotten pretty good at this....I read it this way....with our really putrid football team the last two (three) plus years, attendance is falling on a fairly scary trajectory, and as a result, businesses of all types (aforementioned restaurants, team stores, price hiking motels/hotels) are feeling the pinch. I do agree with other posts that state if your business model is based on five or six random Fall dates for long term success, you are likely in trouble. Lastly, The price hiking hotels and “some” restaurants capitalize on graduation weekends throughout the year....same price hiking practices on display. Basketball weekends will probably be next to get the price hike practice with perhaps a few hundred out of town travelers (perhaps more) coming into town for those weekends. That’s all I got...
