I'm heading to Tallahassee March 3rd for the final home basketball game between Florida State & Boston College and wanted to do my own brewery tour while I'm there. I need some help from the local folks on what I should try at each location and let me know if I'm missing any new breweries that may have opened.

Proof Brewing Company
Grasslands Brewing Company
Ology Brewing

Deep is the best in Tally for flavor imo. Proof is the best for experience/ambience and probably second best in flavor. Most of the beers by those breweries I tend to like (Oyster City is probably my overall favorite in the area but pretty distant being over in Apalachicola). Tally Brewing is a close third at the Brewfest and other beer tasting events but their tasting room isn’t open yet. Ology and Lake Tribe are hit or miss with me, with probably more missed than hits. But you can still get a tasty brew there.

Grasslands is pretty terrible imo. I’m fairly certain the guy who did our tour is their master brewer and if so he was a smoker which means dulled tastebuds. Everything at Grasslands tastes salty and musty to me, regardless of variety. I think they put a salt level worthy of a Gose in EVERY beer which smokers and other people with killed tastebuds would enjoy but not me. Several of their beers I would consider amongst the worst I’ve tasted and I usually go to the Pints for Paws home brewing event where there’s lots of amateur beers up for sample. And that sucks because Grasslands is in a great location and always is part of various beer miles, beer tasting events etc in Collegetown and I always want to skip it. But hey, “free” beer (after you’ve paid your donation for the beers you actually want) and I keep hoping they improve.

Stouts. Proof had a very good stout back when I was in school.
The Creatures in the Dark at Proof is always good. Sometimes Proof will have variations of Creatures. The Oreo was really good. Deep doesn’t have a core stout, but they are usually quality. The stout at Ology is not bad, but they excel in other areas. Lake Tribe’s Axel Grease (a porter) can be had at the Civic Center I believe.

One of our local spots in Jacksonville had a few Grasslands beers on draft. Tried them and they're not exactly good. Proof is the only other Tally brewery I've tried and been to. Their brews are solid.

Deep is always a good time....and Proof. Go to Growler country and you get a bunch of the local brews in one spot. Parking at Growler Country sucks.

Went to Proof, Ology and Deep on Saturday. Had a good time at each, although I was disappointed Ology wasn't pouring ANY juice lab stuff.

Deep has the best quality from top to bottom imo. They usually have around 10 on tap and are always rotating and doing seasonal flavors.

Haven't been to Ology yet, but have heard great things.

This description pretty much nails it. Deep would absolutely clean up in Grasslands' location, given the numbers that show up at their current location.

Fermentation Lounge has gotten back into brewing a bit, and what I've had has been decent. I've heard that Momo's brews some, but I haven't tried anything yet.

Momos USED to brew their own beer, but I don’t think they’ve done it in the past six months maybe more like a year. Now they’re just hosting the other locals I believe. Unless they’ve reverted back without me noticing.

That's probably it. I just saw it on Untappd like a year ago, and was surprised that it existed.
