I've read a couple stories on the web about this and I have a feeling there is at least one important piece of information we are not getting. That is, why was an employee of Baywood Suites(or whatever) standing in an apartment complex that has nothing to do with the company he works for telling people they couldn't enter without key cards?

Was this guy drunk? Did Stadium Centre hire him as after hours security and hasn't owned up to it yet? Why was he even there?

And the student quoted says "the white guy was racist because he wouldn't let us in", when in fact, it was three black youths and one white youth he clearly told couldn't enter without keys. Did this guy have authority to enforce the rules? Now, don't get me wrong, pulling a gun in that situation is not warranted and is probably going to result in charges - and I'd fire him too - but I'd like to know why the guy was even there to begin with. His employer fired him, even though they say he wasn't working for them. That makes little sense as well.

Lots of scuttlebutt that he was allegedly cheating on his wife with someone there. I don’t know if that was ever confirmed or just a rampant rumor.

Problem w/ the situation is one of those guys tries to just step around this dumbarse into the elevator and he moves to make contact with them, he can turn around and justify murdering them hiding behind Stand Your Ground.

The four men in the video were surprisingly restrained dealing with a guy who was going out of his way to be a pain in their arse as a wannabe community watchman. That restraint potentially saved at least one life. He strikes me as someone looking to use his firearm.

Don't encourage them guys! The last thing Tally needs is a person showing off their little gun wearing that backpack.

When you said little gun I took it as this person was a flasher lol.

Never mind on the previous post.

Probably it gets reduced to improper display (depending on his record), but I'm guessing he gets charged with agg assault in the next day or so. .

“At one point, as he’s showing the men his keys and telling them they can’t get in the elevator unless they have keys to the building, he takes out a gun.”

See, I thought this was going to be about the 5 shootings in the last week, several in student housing complexes and one of a pregnant woman, but that isn’t really news anymore in Tallahassee. It’s more like a 40 degree day. (YouTube The Wire for the reference)

Six killed so far this year.
(in order of age):
Brandon Bradshaw - 28
Kelvin R. Farmer - 25
Eric Thomas - 26
Sherod Bryant - 21
Devante F. E. Robinson - 20
Maurice Brown - 20

Living backed up to the JR Alford Greenway only gunfire I hear is aimed at the wild life.

Its gotten beyond terrible.

Also in the news was a horrid (alleged) sexual assault on the trail behind Chappel Drive. Then we had the lost FSU student found wandering in a forest then Bakerized.

Last year we moved my kids in to the same apartment complex (different apartments) suite set up where you get random roommates. At my son's proposed apartment, we came in to find the place empty but smelling like weed with a bunch of 9mm bullets on the coffee table. Needless to say, we found this unacceptable. There are some shady dudes who choose to live among the students.
