Florida State junior Ta’Niya Latson was named the ACC Player of the Week for the second straight week on Monday by the league’s Blue Ribbon Panel.

Latson’s late heroics lifted the Seminoles (16-4, 6-2 ACC) over No. 13 North Carolina, 86-84 on Sunday at the Carmichael Arena.

With 3.2 seconds left in a tie game, Sydney Bowles made a perfect inbound pass to Latson, who beat the defense driving to the basket as time expired, capturing the first ranked win for the Noles this season. It was the first walk-off win since 2007.

Despite eight points in the first half, Latson led the Noles in scoring, posting 25 points and dished seven assists.

The Seminoles led by as many as eight points early in the game but trailed by at most five as the game saw 20 lead changes.

Latson earned her fifth weekly honor this season, which leads the league, and she is the only player to receive the award outright in back-to-back weeks.

Noles Back in the AP Poll

Florida State returned to the AP Poll on Monday, jumping to No. 25 after its ranked win on the road.

The Seminoles debuted the season at No.19 in November but have only received votes since dropping out.

Florida State will continue on the road to face Boston College on Thursday at 6 p.m.
