Florida State men’s indoor track and field athletes Kyvon Tatham, Tyler Azcano and Micahi Danzy collected ACC Performers of the Week honors on Tuesday following their performance at the Clemson Invitational on Saturday.

Tatham was named the Field Performer of the Week, while Azcano took home the Performer of the Week. Danzy collected his first ACC accolade after being named the Rookie of the Week.

Tatham won the triple jump with a lifetime best of 15.89m (52-1¾), marking the 10th-farthest jump in FSU history. His mark currently ranks third in the NCAA and first in the ACC.

“I’m excited for Kyvon,” said assistant coach Tim Cawley. “He has a lot of passion for the sport and works tremendously hard.”

Azcano claimed his first win of the season in the 60-meter, clocking a lifetime best of 6.60 in the preliminary round before finishing in the finals with a time of 6.66. His time ranks fourth in the NCAA and first in the ACC.

“Great opener for Tyler,” said associate head coach Rick Argro. “Coming off of surgery this past summer we tried to temper expectations and execute, and he did just that this weekend. The focus is to continue on the task and allow the times to produce themselves. Happy to have him healthy.”

Danzy opened his collegiate career helping the men’s 4x400-meter relay team to a second place finish after clocking a 45.11 split on the third leg.

“Micahi is a gifted young man who has an immense amount of potential,” added Argro. “This weekend was just a small glimpse into that. Balancing football and track take a great focus and he has that. We will continue to work and grow. Happy for him.”
