I posted a while back about travelling from Atlanta to Tallahassee for the ND game and the best route to take. Thanks to all who responded, and based on the majority, we have decided to travel the route through Columbus.
One other question is we need to take a PCR test on Saturday to be able to fly back into Canada on Monday. We could take it in Atlanta (close to the airport) on Saturday morning, on the trip during the day (example - Columbus late morning), or Tallahassee on Saturday afternoon. We just wondered if anyone had any connections / suggestions where to make an appointment and the cost per test as most of the sites on-line appear to be for antigen tests and our Government requires PCR test results. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

CVS/Walgreens should have PCR tests. Go on their websites and you can schedule times in advance.

We did them at Bragg but be warned that the wait times for results are all over the place We needed a negative test to fly to Jamaica and another time for my daughter and a couple of her teammates to play sports. They say 3 days but one time it took nearly a week. Bottom line is if my travel plans depended on one I'd get at least 2 PCR tests done that use 2 different master labs that are geospatially in different locations.

The lab Bragg is (or at least was) using is in the Washington DC area.

Also related is I don't know if anyone will guarantee PCR results on Monday from a Saturday test. With Bragg the results are typically 3 days (or longer). The quickest we got any PCR tests back was 3 days and that didn't include a Sunday. I'd pretty much expect a Saturday test to come in no earlier than Tuesday and more likely Wednesday. Curative is saying 2+ days after the lab receives the test... So if you take the test in Tallahassee and it gets sent to the lab even overnight that is 3+ days easily. Other companies are saying results won't come for the PCR for up to 7 days.

Please note... if you use Bragg (or any other site) please make sure you are very vocal that you need a PCR test. Bragg will try to give you a rapid test and expect you to come back if you get a positive rapid test only. I had to explain I had to have PCR results for Government travel before they gave me the PCR test. My Wife ended up having to go back because she thought she got PCR tested but they only rapid tested her.

The fastest PCR test you can get back is from FAMU at Bragg Stadium you walk up scan the QR code and get a rapid test back within 15 mins and most PCR tests back within a day or so depending on the wait times I got covid in late June and tested up there no problem.

I would schedule an appointment at a CVS or Walgreens in Atlanta before even heading to Tallahassee if possible.

I have to agree with others that the ID NOW test at Walgreens is likely your best solution. It is a rapid NAAT (PCR equivalent) test with results guaranteed within 24 hours. I would additionally get tested in Atlanta prior to making your drive. The test is free and should be accepted in Canada as we used this same method to travel to other countries that required a PCR test prior to departure.

We offer a PCR test same day with results provided within an hour. $150 per test for a PCR, and $50 for an antigen or antibody. No wait time. Pull up or make an appointment. We will accommodate you.

@Albertanole Patients First is a chain of urgent care clinics in town and you can schedule an appointment. They turned around my PCR test in about 36 hrs (they said it would take 48 hrs). The results go to an app (HealthyTogether) but if you explain your situation I would think they could help facilitate something more tangible.

Thanks for the message. Is it possible to get a test on Saturday or Sunday, or do you have associate clinics in either Atlanta or Columbus that we could get the test on Saturday? Our departing flight from Atlanta will not allow us the time to get the test on Monday morning.
