Someone else mentioned it but I can't find the post but I believe Cook dropped due to the Winston "false narrative" that was a failure by mainstream media too interested in clicks than facts and willing to believe that somehow Winston got away with it. The same thing occurred with Dalvin when he was falsely accused of hitting a girl. Despite having to go to court and being found not guilty the black cloud remained over his head. ( Not guilty does not mean innocent!)

We live in a society concerning such matters that once accused of this type of behavior no amount of evidence or exoneration is enough.

FSU has had two players have their innocence proven and a portion of the public wanting a hanging didn't get it. Such decisions take the anger to unhinged levels in the media that will hang on to a accusation even if false like a bulldog with a bone. They just will never admit they are wrong once it is out there.

It is truly sad the level the media goes to today in its character assassinations.
