Can’t figure out why the NFL wants the Dolphins to win, but this is by far the worst officiated game

Texans are up 28-17 and the NFL wants Miami to win why exactly?

Prob b/c the league's whatbit is broken.

Anyway, saw the NFL fired a ref this week - a sign that they are willing to impose some accountability (or the illusion of it at least) on their refs.

I've never bought into the idea that a league would tinker with games like today's, however I could see all the major sports leagues tinkering a bit when it comes to keeping small market teams out of championship games/series if they're going up against a big market team in the semis - however, sometimes I wonder if even that is far fetched. Think of the number of people who'd have to be in on that scheme and keep their lips sealed for decades after. The credibility risk wouldn't nearly be worth the revenues from improved ratings in a game or two.

So yea, I basically just chalk it up to utter incompetence.

The ACC just announced they hired an experienced NFL ref as of yesterday.

The "fumble" that the Texan's defense returned for a TD was reversed. That stupid tuck rule cost me some FF points.

I don't think that was the tuck rule though if I understood it properly. The rule simply says that if his arm started moving forward intentionally, then it didn't matter what happened to the ball afterwards or whether it went forwards or backwards... It was an incomplete pass.
