So I am on episode 4 and I am not thrilled. I fell asleep a few times so I might have missed some stuff. I’m not sure if I should invest any more time.

BTW, I never read the books nor played the video game.

We binged it when I had the flu. It's not amazing but I appreciate it for what it is, a high budget action show.

Read the books and played the game, it a very close adaptation. I like it, but would probably like it less if not for my prior experiences with the franchise.

Hard to follow if you missed anything, takes 5-6 episodes before I understood all the timelines and what was coming. It didn’t take itself seriously which i liked

Agreed, I actually enjoyed the humor in it asnit was in the source material.
Some of the casting was a little off, but that's today's world.

It might have worked but I think they cheaped out the sets and then the casting of Henry Cavill was a big mistake. I think they could have gone with someone better trained but lesser know in acting. With GOT their were a couple of well know actors but then a vast majority hadn't really hit the scene yet till GOT.

I like Cavill in the role, my personal opinion of course.
