I kind of like it. Don't love it, but enjoy watching it, and it's not really soured on me after seeing it on TV sporadically.

What am I missing?

I thought it was okay. <shrug>

That’s how I felt. Not as good as any of the Marvel CU movies other than Hulk. Nowhere near as bad as any of the DC CU movies other than Wonder Woman.

A solid C maybe C+ effort.

I haven't really seen any of the DC movies. Maybe 1 movie in the theater in the last year. And only a couple new movies at home. Heck, I just watched the "new" Jack Reacher movie 3 weeks ago.

You’re not missing anything. Wonder Woman is a solid B+ movie on its own, but I’m not sure I’d bother getting invested in the whole franchise because of one decent movie (and it definitely does not live up to the hype as it’s not an A+, just a really well done kind of generic superhero movie).

I'll agree with the Wonder Woman review. I liked Justice League to go see the next one if it comes out. C+ - not spectacular, but good enough.

Now that I've seen it a few times, I would put it in the B- range.........it was gory, which is what a Wolverine movie should be. The little girl, Dafne Keen, did a pretty good job, IMO.

It just goes to what I have always believed, DC is the B squad.

The one thing DC has over Marvel is... the villains. They have the best villains in comics. If they would spend a little time to develop the villains, give the audience and chance to enjoy disliking them, it would be much better. Marvel does a bad job at this as well.

Example; Joker in the Nolan Batman. So much of that story centered around him and it was a great movie. Both Universes need more of this.

I would agree the Joker is a great, well developed bad guy.

Need to clarify a few things....

LOGAN (the movie) is very very good.

The character Wolverine in Days of Future Past is awesome and so jacked up, it's not fair.

The Wolverine (based in Japan) is the move to which I am referring. B- to me, but seems to get a 'blah' response.

As for WW.... It's viewed as being SO good..... Because it is being compared to THE OTHER DCEU movies.... And it is a billion times better than those movies are. Taken on its own, it is good, a very solid B+ effort.

I didn't think any of them were bad movies. Only Logan was great, imo.

The DC Justice League trainwreck I think is a result of them not wanting to be accused of copy catting what marvel universe did. They wanted darker and less movies needed to build up to the big Avengers type movie. They should used the marvel formula and had more humor and more universe building. No way to pull off justice league with so little before it.

DC was in a mad rush to get caught up to Marvel. If they had taken their time and told compelling stories (like WW was, excluding the horrible villain), DC would have kicked the pants off Marvel.

They didn't, and the DC movies were/are terrible.

I like most movies, can count on 1 hand movies that I have seen that I regret.
The problem with DC for me, is... they tried to carry that darker tone across all movies. Every character has his own tone and should be treated that way. Making Supes seem dark just doesn't fit. Trying to make Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg dark doesn't fit. They all have deep stories and villains that deserve fleshing out, in the context of their tone.
