This just hit me, and is mainly for fun:
-Coming off season of high hopes: In 2014 & 1995 we were preseason #1
-Coming off a season of not-so-stellar D: 1995's defense was not terrible, but not exactly the best Mickey fielded during the dynasty run. 2014's was nothing special.
-Pass rush making noise in practice: 1996 had Boulware & Wilson making waves in practice reports, 2015 is not getting "glowing" reports, but it sounds like there's been improvement.
-Hopes for run game despite reloading on OL: 1996 was replacing C Clay Shiver & others, Warrick Dunn returning at RB. 2015 is replacing a lot on the OL, with Dalvin returning at RB.
-Breaking in new QB: 1996 was Thad's first year starting, we didn't know exactly what to expect. 2015 will be someone's first start.
-Young Talent at WR: 1996's WR corps was more proven with Cooper & EG, but we had Peter Warrick and (for Spring) Randy Moss. 2015 has a few young 5 stars.
Not making a prediction that this season will go the route of '96, but I'd take it.
