LATE UPDATE
Jimbo seemed to be in a really good mood after practice. Said defense played "extremely sharp." Thought the offense looked good as well.
On Terrance Smith, Fisher said he's doing well. He can run, but still not ready to play. He's out.
On Nate Andrews, Fisher said he's doing better with his knee and should be good to go.
Injury report: Out -- Tyler Hunter (concussion), Jeremy Kerr (concussion), Cole Minshew (concussion), Mario Pender (collapsed lung), Terrance Smith (ankle) and Auden Tate (broken toe).
Fisher talked about the challenge of GT's offense. Said he knows they're going to make plays, but the key is limiting their big plays.
When it comes to replacing Trey Marshall at the "Star," Fisher said they have a number of options. It's not like there's one plan. Might see different lineups.
Fisher did say that Trey Marshall has had his surgery and could be back in about three months.
He also said Mario Pender is gaining weight back, up to around 197, could be practicing in about 2-3 weeks. Good news there.
There's more that will be on the video Ryan posts here shortly.
EARLY REPORT
FSU's practicing in shells, as usual on Thursday, as the team goes through final preparations before leaving for Atlanta this evening.
Injury news to start -- LB Terrance Smith is still out, so he won't be playing Saturday (hasn't practiced in like three weeks). ... DB Tyler Hunter was not there, so assuming he's out with the concussion. ... OL Cole Minshew is back in the rehab crew. Not sure if it's the ankle or something else.
TE Jeremy Kerr (concussion) is back at practice. ... TE Ryan Izzo is wearing a right knee brace (not sure if he's had that before or not.) ... DB Nate Andrews is practicing with the knee brace and still the big club on his hand.
RB Mario Pender was back at practice and even did some jogging, which really seemed to please the coaches and players. Vic Viloria yelled, "Pender, I see you baby!" ... Then Dalvin Cook yelled, "I got my boy running! Look at him."
Cook was in great spirits as usual. Telling everybody it was Ja'Vonn Harrison's birthday today. Turned 21. Then when Kermit caught a pass, Cook yelled, "It's Kermit's birthday every day."
Cook seemed to be full go. I'm guessing he may have practiced yesterday too, like he did last week.
The OL went into the IPF, so not sure, but looked lime same group as last two weeks.
Brad Lawing had the DEs and OLBs working on their change of direction at the beginning of GT's option plays. Really emphasizing the ability to plant and go, and not take false steps.
That's about it for now. Will have more after practice around 6:30.
