Mike Norvell was not scheduled to speak to reporters today but stopped to chat briefly
Here’s some quick notes on what Norvell had to say. Also some notes from Tokarz below his video.
Norvell said today was a good day, big special teams emphasis today. Loved seeing defense fly around, that speed was evident. Offense was better. Said Jordan was great today. Receivers made some plays today. Was pleased with how many variations and formations they worked today offensively.
Tony Tokarz
Tokarz said the growth that QB Jordan Travis has shown with his mind, body, as a leader not only of the offense but for the team as a whole. Added that his leadership is where his game has grown the most.
On Travis, as a passer he is operating and going through his progressions. Carries over consistency from drills into 7 on 7 and 11 on 11. Said his extra weight will help with durability.
On the WR unit, Tokarz said today there was more consistent play. Doing the dirty work in the run game blocking, too.
Was pleased with the offense all around, from WRs to OL to the RBs in the pass game. Helping out the QBs.
On working for OC Alex Atkins, Tokarz said Atkins is a phenomenal leader and has great respect from his peers and the players. Very real and truthful leader.
