I spoke of Newman’s own before and how much I liked it

But I tried “ freschetta”, a couple times now and it’s actually pretty good

The crust is more like the crust when you make a pizza at home

Anybody tried it?

In ft laud it’s Anthonys, Time square and then Big Louies( greasy)

In that order

So sometimes those thin pizzas that are frozen are not bad

Newman’s and now freschetta are it
For me

This is my favorite mass produced frozen pizza (you can only find it in Publix in most Florida locations)

I tried Freschetta a couple times. It was ok'ish. I liked Digiorno's better.

The one I like the best however is Screamin' Sicilian holy pepperoni.
In my lifetime I've had Tombstone, Totinos, Tony's, Red Barron, Jack's and California Pizza.
For $2(on sale) Jack's isn't a bad deal.. Throw some more cheese and pep on it and it's not bad.

Now a days if I want pizza I just order one.

Wife and I popped two in the oven a few weeks ago just for the heck of it. Man did that smell bring back a bunch of memories from 20 years ago.

Funny, I did the same a couple weeks ago. I for whatever reason had a craving for Totino's pizza. (loosely call it pizza)

Itch,

Have you given Sicilian Oven (recently opened on East Oakland just west of Bayview) a shot? Pretty darn good....they have other locations a little further north in Broward.

It was a staple for a broke college student. You could basically eat a week on less than $20.

You guys eat a lot of frozen pizzas. Never had any desire. It is cost as delivery is quick and cheap?

WAIT, you have never in your life eaten a frozen pizza?

I haven’t had one in at least ten to fifteen years, it’s too easy and cheap to make your own or get a fresh one from Hungry Howies, Little Ceasars or in the past Pizza Quick. A pizza stone and a kitchen aid stand mixer is all you need to make pizza making simple and good.

Now when I was in college, Totino’s and Red Baron were a staple because they were so cheap. But even then, Gumby’s wasn’t THAT much more. Just $2-3 instead of $1 or less.

Palmero's is the best frozen in my opinion. They sell it at some Publixs now.

I do prefer homemade, but throwing a frozen pie in the oven is a lot less work than making dough and sauce, letting it rise, stretching/tossing the dough, assembling the pizza and cleaning up all the stuff used to make it.

That being said, I've got leftover sauce and cheese from making pizza a couple of days ago, so I'll be firing up the stand mixer shortly.

Back in the day I'd take a pizza out of the freezer and toss it on the Pizza Pizzazz. Add more toppings and season as it spins slowly in front of you. Crispy toasted crust and broiled(ish) top, delizioso.

I miss totinos. Used to eat a ton of those as a kid.
Can't imagine that was healthy at all.
Hopefully the younger generations are a bit more healthy than mine.

I started eating them again this past football season. They are now rectangular, but just as good. I cut mine into smaller rectangles and dip them in ranch or blue cheese. Doesn't get any better than that after a few beers and watching the Noles lose games last season. This has probably contributed to me needing to buy 2XL shirts now instead of XL or L.

WHAT!

Someone already mentioned California Pizza Kitchen, those are usually solid. BBQ chicken is my go-to.

Screamin’ Sicilian from Publix is more expensive than a pizza chain, but also 10x better. You guys are missing out if you haven’t tried that.
