Any takers tonight? I’m still watching since I have invested this much time in the series so far and I’m interested to see Rick’s final season. Do they kill him off or send him on his way in case they need him in the future?

I am still onboard & looking forward to the new season. I expect they will kill him off in some fashion. Interested to see who takes over as the leader of the group.

I’m not going to watch it. The show has really sucked the last few seasons and I’m behind
On better call Saul, Man in the High Castle, Ozark and Shameless, much better shows in my opinion.

Ending was great, about time.

Head scratchers for me was when they were in the museum. How any of them were still walking on the glass after it was cracking made no sense. They could have pulled any of those items from a safe spot with ropes. Zero reason to be on the glass.

Also when stuck in the mud, they waited until after things got bad to wipe out the 15 or so spread out walkers. Why didn’t they just kill them all from the get go. They wiped them with minimal effort when they decided to. I bet Kent would have appreciated a little more initiative there.

I loved the new intro.

Gregory finally getting what was coming was great! Almost played out the same in the comics!

I think Rick will die and it sucks.

Glad there was no Negan tonight. We all need a break from him.

It was a good start to an interesting season.

I like that Daryl is getting back to being Daryl too. Rick making him the leader at Sanctuary seems cruel after what he endured there. The tension has been building with those two already. Hope the bromance returns before Rick dies.

Oddly enough considering I hated the first two seasons of FTWD, now that Fear was basically rebooted for this season I much prefer this past season of FTWD than last season or it looks like this season of TWD. It’s jumped the shark for me and I’m just watching it to finish out the story. I’m glad it’s ending.

I will likely hate watch at a later date. They should just end the show with Rick dying. No reason to have any more of this now mediocre show after that.

I guess I should have watched the bonus preview episode. I hate not knowing how far along we've jumped. All that infrastructure at Alexandria and all the cultivated crops at Hilltop would lead to believe we're about 6-8 months ahead in time.

Someone explain why they're keeping Negan prisoner instead of either a) just offing him or b) putting his useful arse to work?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the "bonus preview" episode was simply last season's finale, when they defeated the saviors.

As for how far ahead they jumped, I'm not sure. If you used Maggie as the measure, I'd guess a year, maybe a bit more; at the end of last season, she was pregnant but did not appear to be, and now the kid looks to be maybe 9 months old

The Maggie part was throwing me off. She was barely showing at the end of last season and now the little dude looks to be 8-9 months old and she's fit as ever (if they kill Lauren Cohan off, I might stop watching).

This is her last season as a fulltime cast member.

Then guess how many seasons I have left watching the show.

Honestly though, the arc is fairly transparent at this point, yeah? Saviors revolt, things get crappy, then everyone bonds together for the next aggressive faction to cross paths. This charter that Michonne was talking about... neat idea, but if there's no real law enforcement, it's kind of moot, no?

It's been about a year and a a half. Keeping Negan alive is a comic storyline. And when they brought in a big name like JDM, they weren't going to kill him. Probably why that damn storyline took 3 seasons.

What bugs me is that, after all this time, the idea of a charter wasn't brought up before? And the s
Sanctuary is never going to work, there will always be mistrust. And they've already set up a new douche guy to cause problems.
