gatas are losing their President, Kent Fuchs. Will be interesting to see who is next-up on the rotisserie....Fuchs claims he will stay on-board until the next person is named, and that he will stay on as a professor, blah-blah-blah.

Fuchs held on for ~8 years. This departure was apparently "decided" with the Chair of the uf Board of Trustees back in August 2021, but only released "now."

Whatever.....wishing great woe and misery for uf.

so my youngest just graduated from there and I asked her about it. All she knows is that he is going to be a professor. She doesn't know what led to his resignation as president.

MY OWN GUESS was that they wanted to move to a more political president like other Unis seem to have, instead of an academic one.

To me, Dr. Fuchs (pronounced Fox) seemed like a pretty cool guy. I was in attendance when he spoke at both convocation and commencement for her class. He is actually pretty funny.
