The last two fired Miami head coaches have had to sue the school to get their contracts honored. This is a good read. Some favorite parts:

14 double-digit losses

damaging effects of a protracted NCAA investigation into the actions of former booster Nevin Shapiro, who allegedly dished out thousands of dollars worth of improper benefits to Miami athletes

Golden described that stretch of uncertainty around the program as “toxic.”

Former coach Randy Shannon — now the defensive coordinator at UCF — sued Miami for breach-of-contract in 2012

Miami suffered the worst loss in program history, a 58-0 defeat to then sixth-ranked Clemson

Neuheisel was talking about this not 30 min ago. Apparently it is a common thing for programs to stiff fired head coaches. That was how Rick made it sound anyway.

Golden saw N'Kosi Perry with those stacks of cash and assumed scum was making payments, decided to get himself some of that.
