Good morning!

The FSU football team is holding its second spring scrimmage this morning at 10 a.m. at Doak Campbell Stadium, and we'll be there providing updates and observations right here. Then we'll have complete coverage right afterward.

---------

Sorry for all the typos. Trying to type on laptop but barely able to see because of glare on the screen.

Final notes

Toafili had a solid series with four carries for 34 yards.

T. Ward with a 23-yard scamper.

Rodemaker once again got the short end of the stick on what could have been a 41-yard TD to Poitier but he seemed to slow up on the route.

Walk on QB Gino English with a 15-yard fade pass for a TD to Adarius Dent (3s vs 3s)

J. Jones with a PBU on a J. Travis pass. Travis bounces back with a 23-yard hook-up with TE Austin White.

Fitzgerald with a 51-yard field goal but had a 53 yard attempt blocked by McKnight.

Grothaus hit a 35-yard field goal.

That's a wrap.

---------
Actually, the scrimmage resumed. We are a short-handed now but will follow up with highlights from the final couple series.

-----
Looking like the scrimmage is pretty much done.

They are now doing some special teams work.

Interviews to follow.

---
J. Travis out with the 1s

Pass over the middle to Corbin for 17 yards on third down.

Travis with a nice bullet pass 15 yards to Wilson.

Series ended short by Norvell.

----
Milton back out with the offense.

Appeared to have C. Wren open for a long pass plaly but he short-armed it.

Milton showed off some impressive quiickness making defenders miss for a 10-plus yard run but short of the first down.
-----
Travis with the 1s starting at midfield.

Q. Fullelr comes in unblocked to start the series with a TFL. Dix with a solid tackle for a short gain.

A couple pre-snap penalties today have hurt the offense today. Third down conversion negated by penalty.

Offense does convert on 4th down on a pass from Travis to Wilson for 40 yards.

Defense hold strong at goal line and forces field goal. Grothaus hits the chip shot.

-----
Rodemaker with the 2s starting at the offense's 7-yard line.

L. Willis making an appearance.

Another ugly series by the offense.

-----
Milton back out

Swing pass to Corbin for 10 yards.

Corbin with an 18-yard run up the middle.

Rough after that. A lot of pressure on the QB. Drive stopped at midfield.

----
J. Travis back out but with the 2s this time.

Firsst play a short pass to Poitier that he took for 16 yards.

Another completion to T. Ward for about 9 yards. J. Travis runs for the first down.

Jadarius Green-McKnight wtih a really nice open field tackle on T. Ward. Excellent coverage by Gant on a long third down throw.
----
Milton is back out with the offense.

Swing pass to Corbin goes for 29 yards. That was it for the offense.

Lovett with a big TFL on Toafili .Travis Jay follow up with another solid TFL.

-----
Field goals go 0 for 2.

Field goal attempt from Fitzgerald hits the upright. Grothaus misses as well.
----
More work on the punting game.

The Thunder from Down Under looking better booming a 54-yarder and a 51-yarder and a 49-yardere. Walk on Aidan Shahriari answers with a 52-yarder.

----
Rodemaker with the 2s starting from the offense's own 10-yard line.

Poitier with the catch of the day going up high for a 23-yard catch. Looked like Poitier could have had a TD also on a perfect deep pass from Rodemaker. Not sure why but he slowed down on his route and the ball went off his fingertips.

Defense held but a new series was started from the 40-yard line.

Z. Herring is getting a lot of work at center but struggling with snaps.

S. Dix with a big hit to end the series.

-----
J. Travis back out with the 1s. Three and out.

A couple short runs to Corbin. A. Gainer broke up the pass on third down.

-----
Rodemaker back out with the 2s.

DJ Lundy with a nice open field tackle on a swing pass.

T. Ward with a shifty run on a third down to keep the drive alive.

Rodermaker threw a perfect post route to McClain on what should have been a TD but he dropped it.

Defense stopped the defense on 4th down. Q. Fuller credited with the sack.

-----
McKenzie Milton in leading the offense. Three and out with the defense looking much more stout than it did on the first drive.

Lovett gets a sack on the first play. Jermaine Johnson also with a sack. McLendon blew up D. Washington at the line the started the jail break.

----
Second series with T. Rodemaker leading the offense. 2s vs. 2s.

Not much happening for the offense. A three and out.

DeLoach with a TFL.

----
First series with Jordan Travis at QB - 1s vs 1s. Pretty easy drive for the offense going 8 plays for 75 yards. On the drive Travis ran for 25 yards and passed 2 for 2 for 33 yards.

Corbin had a few tough runs. Converted a third and one.

Toafili made a great move on a dump off to make B.Moore miss and then ran for the first down.

A couple runs by J. Travis to get the offense near the red zone.

Finished drive with a 19-yard TD pass to K. Helton. It was a short pass hitting Helton in stride and he sliced through the defense for the score.

-----
Punting drill was ugly but at least Mastromanno finished with a 50+ yard kick to end the session. Most of the other punts were short of 40, and at least three short of 35.

------
Starting with the two-point play drill. FIve total plays but no scores for the offense.

J. Travis - Had K. Helton open but he fell down.
Next play was a swing to Helton but B. Moore and A. Gainer did a great job holding him short of the goal line. He got one more play at the end but the coverage was good in the end zone.

M. Milton - Two plays. One incomplete. Second play found Toafili for what looked like a score but he must have juggled because the official called in incomplete.

---------
Renardo Green is also fully dressed taking part in warm ups.

---------
The whole team is out now doing warm ups within their position groups. Baveon Johnson is actually out fully dressed taking part in everything.

---------
Emmett Rice is out walking around but not in pads obviously.

----

Kickers and returners are out warming up. Quarterbacks are also warming up.
