Will begin posting updates when Jimbo arrives.
1:15. Still not here.
1:20. OK, Jimbo is here. Starts off by praising team for Louisville win. Moves on to Ga. Tech and says this is a huge game in terms of discipline and toughness. More than usual. A big key is getting off the field on third down.
On Tech's offense, Fisher talking about how difficult it is to handle cut blocks, etc. Said they're legal but tough to handle.
As far as replacing Trey Marshall, he mentions Javien Elliott, Tarvarus McFadden and Marcus Lewis. Says it's an option to put Jalen at Star if a young guy can play corner. Also not ruling out Hunter.
As for Nate Andrews, thinks he'll be closer to healthy the middle of this week. Said knee was still bothering him ...and they didn't want to rush him back too much last week.
Praising Javien Elliott and how he has earned everything he got as a former walk-on.
Jimbo points out that Ga Tech was one of the teams they spent a lot of time on during the bye week. So have packages ready. Said they're confident in their plans.
On Kermit's improvement, says a huge part has been his learning to run routes and play receiver without the ball. In high school, he got the ball so much on pitches, etc.
On Dalvin's hamstring, Fisher says it's getting stronger and stronger. Getting better as they rest during the week, etc. ... One of the things they do is use the GPS to measure how fast he runs at practice. So they can tell him to slow down or stay at a certain speed. Gives them reliable data.
On the third-down problems on defense, Fisher said it was a lot of little things. Players lining up incorrectly or making bad decisions on assignments. Thinks it's all correctable.
On Terrance Smith's ankle, Fisher said it's looking a lot better. Now has to get some strength back in it. But doesn't know for sure on his status for Saturday.
Jimbo praising Nile Lawrence-Stample. Said he's playing very well as a fifth-year senior.
About the freshmen who haven't played much, Fisher reminds everyone that Dalvin didn't do much in the first half last season.
On the polls, Jimbo said he's not worried about it. Can't do anything about it.
Talking about Everett Golson, said he played well -- made plays he had, but still some things to clean up. But overall playing so much better. Understanding the offense better. Playing freer. Also learning the WRs better.
Fisher said Ryan Izzo played a great game. Also praised Saunders.
Horse collars ... Said he is concerned about them and has expressed his concerns to the ACC. Said they can lead to as many injuries as targeting, if not more. Thinks the refs need to do a better job with them. Added that they happen more frequently with fast skill guys like Kermit and Cook.
