Video of Panera Manager Punching a Woman

He needs to go work at a Hardees or Taco Bell for 2 years, then he'll get his shot again at a Sweet Tomatoes or Corner Deli.

I read about this. She did something really bad so she was fired on the spot. She refused to leave and was insulting and physical, so he picked her up and threw her out. THEN the filming starts, that's why you heard her talk about him "laying his hands on her". She then attacked him slapping him and kicking him, he beat her down.

So here's my question:

Why do we say a man should NEVER hit a women? Is it because he's so much bigger? Is it because he's so much stronger? Does that apply even if she hits him first? According to most it does, not matter what NEVER hit a women. Well if that's the case let me ask you this:
What would your response and societies be if a smaller guy (say 5'8 140 pounds) got into an argument with a man (6'2 250 pounds) and during the argument the small guy hits the big guy. At that point the big guy beats him down like a rabid dog. I highly doubt hell would fall on the big guy. I highly doubt he would get fired, kicked out of school or arrested. In fact the gathering crowd would be filming and laughing at the dumb-ass. So seriously, what's the difference??

In my experience, the men that say, "Never hit a woman" and stick up females in every single situation fall into 1 of 3 categories:

1. Men that were raised mostly by their mothers, had predominantly female teachers, and were otherwise overly exposed to females growing up. Women raise boys to serve the best interest of women. The result of that is male well-being taking a backseat to female well-being. These are usually men that have a hard time establishing healthy boundaries with females regarding anything.

2. White knights. These are guys that are trying to weasel their way into female affection by coming to the rescue of women regardless of circumstance. It's pathetic.

3. Men that have been the victims of domestic violence themselves. This is a lot more common than most people realize IMO. If a guy is in (or has been in) an abusive relationship and doesn't have the self-respect to dump the girl, of course he is going to dismiss female on male violence. Being harshly against female violence would only point out the fact that he's too much of a simp to dump his girlfriend. A lot of times 1 and 3 go hand in hand.

I'm all for people not hitting each other regardless of sex.

He didn't have to hit that girl. A simple bear hug, arm bar, or at worst a head lock would have saficed.

Throwing a haymaker (an awful one at that) was not nesacery. His emotions got the best of him.

Let hope we don't learn that he's an FSU grad.

I agree that him hitting her was excessive. With that said, I think we need to stop only shining the spotlight on the male in these situations. A woman can verbally abuse a guy, spit on him, and then slap him in the face and peoples response is "He didn't have to hit her". We need to get past this marginalization of women's crappy behavior.
