I've been noticing that the only time they mention 'Super Bowl' is when they are mentioning this specific game by saying, 'Super Bowl 50.' They kept saying, 'The Big Game.'

And this morning, I see this...

Your post was from Saturday, is ESPN still using "pro football championship" on TV? I wonder if there was a moratorium on Super Bowl until this week or if only certain programs can use the term like SC or dedicated NFL shows. ESPN.com is referencing SB all over but it could be a right to use in digital media and specific programming. Also your screen grab is related to a gambling topic where I could see the NFL limiting topics like that using their proprietary name on TV.

I think that's the deal for several years now. I know radio stations aren't permitted to refer to it as the "Super Bowl". Heck, they're probably sending me a Cease & Desist letter now too.
