I wouldn't have believed it a few seasons ago but I don't think I can make it to the season finale. Anybody else loosing that lovin feeling?

After the first 2 mid-season episodes, I've got no complaints.

Same here; I thought last week & last night were both good episodes, with a nice mix of drama & action. Only complaint with last night is that, with that ending for them, the time spent on the garbage pail kids wsa a complete waste of time

I agree. But on the bright side, that story arc should hopefully be over with.

True; they were mostly an annoyance whenever they were included in an episode. About the only thing that could still involve them is for Jadis to take out a main character

Yep. Just like Ezekiel, she let the facade go once her people were dead. Those personas served a purpose, but when they were at their lowest and broken, they didn't need it anymore.
Kinda thinking the same thing...didn't notice at first then it hit me. WOW! It was all some weird artsy fartsy act!

Yes, but the real question is whether it was just being done as a psychological tool to break the Heapsters from their old mindset to their new hippie commune mindset OR if everything was just a cover for the military base hidden inside the dump. Jadis chowed down on military grade food and they referenced the solar panels and helipad hidden somewhere inside.

I quit the show a season and a half ago. I quit before the Sasha story ended.

The solar panel and helipad comment were very interesting indeed, even the look she gave simon when he asked were indicators. Rick and his speeches are getting tiresome. He sure can talk the talk, but man he's crapped the bed a few times when the opportunities were there

I gave up, and I swear it was years ago. The fact they are still stuck on Negan leads me to believe I made the right decision.

Once the Negan saga is complete, I might binge watch the episodes with him. But still not sure.

And now I remember when I bailed. It was the episode they played the same dumb song over and over following Darrel and his day to day life adjustment to life with Negan....that episode was so bad to me.

We're on easy street, and it feels so sweet. 'Cause the world is but a treat, when you're on easy street.

The last two episodes have actually been some of the best they've had in a long time. Sure, I do believe the show has jumped the shark a bit, but it's still better than a lot of stuff on.

That said, I'm committed through the end of this season to see out the Negan storyline. That's about when I left the comics and it felt like they were starting to run out of good ideas. I'd honestly probably like to see the Negan storyline end, and then see a season where they fight back and actually create a start to humanity again... and then end it.

With the show veering from the comics, I kind of wonder - wouldn't it be a good twist for some of the "good guys" to really start to question Rick's leadership and Negan take over as the de facto "good guy leader?" I mean, at this point, it's pretty much just Rick out for blood and forgetting why. You can see Michonne giving him the "dude, WTH is up with you" look in this most recent episode.

Would really like to see kind of a faction split off with Simon as the new bad guy and have a Negan v Simon v Rick plot. At this point, Hilltop is just kind of there and really, no idea what happens with Kingdom or if it even matters.

I think Simon is a goner as soon as Negan finds out he took out the trash people. But I wouldn't mind a change in roles either. Something to change up the wash, rinse, repeat pattern we've had for seasons.
