We had three Defensive Coordinators in three years.

It has been wildly debated on these boards the reasons for the discrepancies of our defensive performances last year, but when you look at coordinators/coaches in college football it does seem to matter. We lost talented players, but we seem to be better on defense. Was it the addition of Lawing, the subtraction of Sunseri or Kelly's second year as DC?

I bring this up because when I evaluate Ohio State no one, including ESPN, SiriusXM 84, AP voters seemed to take notice of the loss of Tom Herman the offensive coordinator for Ohio State last year.

Do they look past this because of Urban Meyer, the three current QBs, the first unanimous AP pre season #1?

I think they miss Herman greatly and it will cost them a spot in the playoffs this year.
