For anyone who might know. Just watched the replay, and the qbs, along with Sanders, will often do something when discussing a play on the sideline. Generally when the coaches see something the qb did not. They will hold their forearm and arm in an L shape away from their body and push outward. Like if you were arm wrestling, and then push out.
Sorry, that's about the best way I can explain it, and i know it's kind of a weird question. My guess is it has something to do with perhaps making a read. Maybe "pushing" the ball downfield?
